The visuals of Polynesian culture, tranquil vegetation, an immersive oceanic setting that"s a living entity of its own, expressive songs performed magnificently by newcomer Auli"i Cravalho (I have to also credit The Rock having some singing chops too) and the character dynamics all kept my attention that it summed up yet another dazzling successor from this year"s caper film Zootopia by the crew at Disney. Moana definitely has spunk and a spiritual personality mirroring that of Pocahontas crossed with a hint of Lilo Pelekai that my attention shifted quickly on where her adventure will take her next.
The story of Moana is that she"s a free-spirited Polynesian individual who dreams of following her own path beyond her home in the Pacific Islands ever since she can barely walk. However when her home island of Motunui is threatened by a mysterious supernatural being and given the guidance of her wise grandmother, she must venture out in the ocean waters to find the demigod Maui where they must team up to put an end to the chaos.
The chemistry between Auli"i Cravalho voicing the leading heroine Moana and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson voicing demigod Maui began to somewhat remind me of the witty banter between characters of previous Disney animated films (Zootopia and Wreck-It Ralph to name a few) as well as a cross between the whimsical Genie of "Aladdin" and reluctant personality of Phil from "Hercules" on Maui"s end. Not to mention his tattoos are also appealing because they seem to have a mind of their own and him spouting a couple wisecracking meta-references in some parts of the film were pretty laughable. Notably, the song "How Far I"ll Go" is enthralling and stands out the most among the other well-written music pieces, giving a sort of "Lion King" chill to it. Broadway playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton) definitely laid his cards out on the table by unveiling a few catchy songs and the collaborations with both Jemaine Clement and South Pacific Fusion singer Opetaia Foa"i made the ambiance feel more culturally serene and enchanting at the same time.
Directors John Musker and Ron Clements have certainly come a long way spanning well over three decades under Disney since I remembered their work dating back to 1986. Whether it be The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules, or even Princess and the Frog, they"ve certainly pushed their boundaries further from their usual 2D animated flicks and wayfinding into 3D terrain with an intriguing story on how one heroine doesn"t need a prince to rescue her or fall in love with (though an animal sidekick is a must. No, instead the focus is about finding the path that suits you along with the perils that lie ahead and seeing that there is good somewhere within. But hey, no one said it would be easy.
Look out, awards season. This is definitely a must-see and I applaud the amazing cast and crew for weaving such a tale.

If they"d just swapped out opponents a bit, let someone else face Metallo while Supes took down the rest in one fell swoop, they would"ve won a lot quicker. It doesnt look much different. I don"t care if its 4 hours long - Whedon should not have gone anywhere near JL.

And strong and UHM. 10 reasons why The Snyder Cut will be successful. 1. It had extremely positive reviews and high release demands from everyone who"s seen it. 2. It will get a ton of viewers and HBO Max will get a ton of subscribers. 3. Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition was an improvement over its theatrical release. 4. Watchmen: Director"s Cut and Sucker Punch: Extended Cut were too. 5. Snyder"s Batman and Superman were taken a lot more seriously than Whedon"s. 6. Snyder"s Steppenwolf looked a lot more intimidating and imposing than Whedon"s. 7. Cyborg had a much better character arc and Superman had a much better resurrection story. 8. Darkseid, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter appearing will be incredible geek out moments. 9. Zack Snyder filmed enough footage for two Justice League movies, which could lead to a trilogy. 10. Joe Manganiello teased an epic confrontation between Batman and Deathstroke.

Beats the fantastic 4. Its not real, its an edit of a trailer and a promo. You can tell by the audio overlap. The end part with the Zack Snyder was a legit promo hbo put out. I did it to protect my people He was your nephew... It is very likely that the movie Justice League is one of the worst movies I have seen this year. Two hours of absolute scandal, a storm of special effects that sometimes even feels too much. Besides the movie does not have a single drama scene that lasts more than two minutes and I really feel the director did this to avoid the viewer from falling asleep. When other drama sci-fi like Blade Runner 2049, Ex Machina or Minority Report have a silent, we wonder, we believe, we brainstorm, we try to get what"s going on and what is about to happen, but in Justice League it just makes the lack of this movie more evident, lack of any drama beyond "let"s save the world for one last time (again. The issue here is that director Zach Snyder seems to have given up on this and still rely on the fandom to score the box office promised to the producers. DC Comics was looking for its Avengers series, and I believe they have done a movie that needed to be done, but it is sad that the only thing this has done is to fill a blank space. The story begins with an astonishing Gal Gadot, pushing again for women in superhero movies, saving people from being killed by an armed bank robber. I wasn"t expecting that. Then Ben Affleck, who I don"t know why he is still Batman, tries to play the cool but serious guy with a Jeremy Irons that just seems too much for Alfred, an old and smart butler, please don"t do this to Irons again. Then, this unnecessary fit, tattooed and mentally disturbed Aquaman plays the "get out of my lawn" role, until, of course, he doesn"t. It is great they added "The Flash" because it is really the only light in this, he is the only unpredictable character. Maybe because we have not seen him in ten other movies. Oh, and they bring Superman back to life, perhaps to make another three movies of him saving humanity, we"ll see. I am not going to go over the plot because it is quite easy to guess and it will be unlikely to fail. Spectacular visual effects need to have a bit of a story and this feels like the same but in a different container. And this is really upsetting me because it is becoming a popular practice.

With Ruby. she almost died filming this show so if thats a mitigating factor for calling it quits I dont blame her. No job is worth your life. Am I the only one who thought this could have made a great show? It might not have captured the magic of The DCAU but it had potential. I wouldn"t mind turning this into a fanfiction. This is dope but what did ya"ll think of John X Smith"s new project.

You could have at least tried making cyborg look good. With how messed up the DCEU is at the moment, we can get away with making Snyder"s cut canon. We still have a Flashpoint movie before the next Justice League. I have watched this movie and I love it. We can just have Justice League series and the other movies. Didnt Snyder plan to do more than one movie? Im guessing were only going to get the first one instead.

 

This movie is really good. Aquaman to Batman while sitting on the Lasso Of Truth- You"ve got no powers. No offense. ??????. Bad dialogue. Terrible cg. Terrible story. Why do I care? Why should I care about these characters? Batman-Bruce lame. Wonder Woman is reduced to 1 dimensional character. Cyborg could have been interesting, but just isnt. Barry? Such a fun character falling so flat. Aquaman? I could look at him all day but I can"t watch this movie. Sorry dude.
Nothing is connected. It feels disjointed. I can"t even tolerate the rip off soundtrack. Dc get your act together. Why do you change what works? This movie sucks.

Just don"t disappoint us like the last time

Warner Bros Studios: “We cant release the Snyder Cut, its impossible” DC fans: “No, its necessary”. Aquaman says something about the other Justice League members with the Lasso of Truth. 1. Batman: Has no superpowers. 2. Cyborg: Might be working with Steppenwolf. 3. Flash: Trips over his feet. 4. Wonder Woman: Thinks she"s gorgeous. For those who loathe Zack Snyder"s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and they are legion, Justice League will be just the corrective followup they"re looking for. The scenes of the League members together, bickering and bonding, spike the film with humor and genuine feeling, creating a rooting interest in the audience. Without it, the film would crumble. The addition of Ezra Miller as "The Flash" was a great thing as he was maintaining the balance between action & some comic sequences. The CGI was good with enough good sound editing. Although it felt that at the second half the movie started faltering due to excessive use of CGI and for over use of fighting sequences. I admit that it was way better than Batman v Superman & Suicide Squad and was a decent watch...
My Rating : 3/5.

I hope Steppenwolf and Darkseid CGI look good in the the Snyder"s cut. Dr. Manhattan is Barry Allen"s dad?. I have to say that Killmonger is probably the 3rd villain I sympathize with in the MCU, with Thanos being #1 and Loki #2. Still love the technology Wakanda possessed were was fucking bad-ass, especially that device the let "em take control of any vehicle. Loved performances from all the actors and loved the action scenes. Can"t wait for the sequel.
